Tools from Google to advertise your business

 By Chico Mies

In a competitive market, the ultimate reward is attention. To increase revenue, create leads, and increase brand recognition, businesses need to stand out. In this article, CHICO MIES discusses utilising Google resources to accomplish these aims.

Advertising (ads) is a common strategy used by organisations to reach their target market, increase brand recognition, and boost sales. They use a variety of media, such as print, radio, television, social media platforms, search engines, email marketing, influencer marketing, and online display advertisements.

The emergence of Artificial Intelligence is significantly transforming the dynamics of the digital marketing sector. Recently, Google Ads has launched a range of innovative AI-driven tools aimed at improving both creativity and performance for businesses.

These state-of-the-art tools equip marketers with sophisticated analytics that yield valuable insights, AI-enhanced image capabilities, automated asset creation, and seamless integration with creative platforms to optimize workflows.

As reported by Statcounter, more than 80 percent of businesses globally utilize Google Ads for their pay-per-click advertising, underscoring its leading position in the advertising industry. The data indicates that over 84 percent of companies intend to continue leveraging Google Ads in 2024, emphasizing its critical role in digital marketing strategies.

In a recent announcement, Google stated that by utilizing these tools within Google Ads, marketers can expedite content creation, broaden their professional networks, and achieve impactful results.

Building on the success of Performance Max, these new functionalities enable businesses to maintain a competitive edge in the digital arena, facilitating the development of targeted, engaging, and effective marketing campaigns, as expressed by the technology firm.

Enhanced reporting capabilities.

Google Ads has launched comprehensive conversion metrics in asset-level reporting for Performance Max campaigns, enabling users to identify which images, videos, and headlines are most effective in generating valuable actions from their target audience.

Businesses can now monitor the placement of their video advertisements on YouTube, ensuring that their brands are presented in appropriate contexts. Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade, the Communications and Public Relations Manager for Google West Africa, stated, “If you notice any discrepancies, you have the ability to exclude certain placements.”

This degree of transparency empowers you, enabling you to make informed decisions based on data that enhance your campaigns for optimal effectiveness. He clarified that to utilize these reporting tools, you should go to the "Reports" section within your Google Ads account and choose the appropriate campaign.

Visual modification.

The importance of image editing in advertising cannot be overstated, as it significantly influences the success of any advertising campaign. Research conducted by HubSpot indicates that advertisements featuring high-quality images achieve a conversion rate that is 65 percent higher than those utilizing low-quality images.

Additionally, a report from Facebook reveals that ads with superior images not only enjoy a 50 percent higher conversion rate but also incur a 20 percent lower cost per click in comparison to their low-quality counterparts.

Google Ads has launched AI-driven image editing tools that simplify the process of image modification for users, eliminating the need for outsourcing or mastering intricate software.

These tools enable businesses to effortlessly remove unwanted elements, introduce new components, extend backgrounds, and adjust images to various aspect ratios with minimal effort. As stated by the search engine leader, this functionality empowers users to produce a diverse range of visually appealing graphics customized for different platforms and target audiences, all while avoiding extra expenses and maintaining an efficient workflow.

Kola-Ogunlade encouraged users to explore this feature by navigating to the “Assets” section of their Google Ads account and selecting the image they wish to modify.

The development of assets utilizing Generative AI technology.

The asset generation feature of Google Ads is designed to meet the increasing demand for innovative creative content. Now accessible in both App and Display campaigns, this robust tool utilizes artificial intelligence to swiftly produce high-quality images. By merely supplying a few prompts, users can allow the AI to handle the intricate work, thereby conserving valuable time and resources.

Furthermore, users will benefit from improved asset reporting for app campaigns, enabling them to monitor the effectiveness of their AI-generated images and refine their strategies accordingly. To begin utilizing asset generation, navigate to the “Create” menu in Google Ads and select “Assets,” as confirmed by Google.

Streamline the workflow.

The process of creating and managing your assets has been significantly streamlined, eliminating the need for unnecessary complications. Google Ads has made it more accessible than ever to utilize essential tools.

You can now produce images, develop videos, and upload assets directly from the “Create” menu, as stated by Kola-Ogunlade. He further noted, “This efficient workflow not only saves you time but also reduces superfluous clicks, enabling you to concentrate on what is truly important—designing impactful campaigns.”

Utilizing a keyword planner.

Utilizing Google’s keyword research tools enables businesses to acquire essential insights that can enhance their online marketing strategies. The Google Ads Keyword Planner tool reveals the most pertinent keywords and phrases related to their products or services, while also offering an overview of search volume and trends.

Furthermore, integrating this information with Google Trends analysis empowers businesses to remain proactive, recognizing emerging topics and adapting their content to align with the changing preferences and requirements of their target audience.

Effortless integrations.

Successful collaboration is essential, yet it can pose difficulties when creative teams operate on various platforms. Google Ads has announced its partnership with prominent creative platforms such as Canva, Smartly, and Pencil to address this issue.

The addition of Typeface to this collaboration allows for the direct integration of assets created with Typeface into Google Ads campaigns. Consequently, teams can concentrate on their creative capabilities, while marketers benefit from a streamlined and effective workflow.

Final Thoughts.

In the pursuit of success in advertising initiatives, Google Ads has reaffirmed its dedication to equipping marketers with essential tools for thriving in the digital era. The introduction of these innovative features, driven by artificial intelligence and an emphasis on user experience, presents limitless possibilities to enhance your campaigns, engage your audience, and realize your marketing objectives.
