Alejandro Balde is both a blessing and a concern for this current Barça team. The issue isn’t his performance—he’s an incredible talent—but rather his constant injury setbacks.
I still remember last season when we were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League semi-final by Inter Milan. Balde got injured before the second leg, and we were forced to field the inexperienced Martin. Guess where Inter’s equalizer came from? That left wing.
If Balde can stay fit for at least five straight months, it would make a huge difference for us. But if his injury problems persist, Barça must invest in a reliable left-back in the January transfer window to avoid history repeating itself.
