Fans call Kylian Mbappe "Eden Hazard 2.0" when he gives a "biblical stinker" in his La Liga debut, and Carlo Ancelotti's squad loses to Mallorca 1–1.
After Kylian Mbappe failed to score in Real Madrid's 1-1 draw with Real Mallorca in his La Liga debut, supporters made fun of him.
- Real Madrid loses the opening match of La Liga;
- Mbappe is unable to score against Real Mallorca.
- Following the draw, fans target the superstar.
Consequently, what happened?
The major summer acquisition for Real Madrid played in his first La Liga match for the team on Sunday night, but he was unable to score in his debut. Undoubtedly, Los Blancos had a challenging evening as they had to make do with a draw against Real Mallorca. With a stunning curling shot, Rodrygo gave the visitors the lead, but Vedat Muriqi levelled early in the second half to earn a point. Ferland Mendy was sent off during stoppage time and will now serve a punishment, which will only exacerbate the situation for Madrid.
OPINIONS FROM THE FANS
Mbappe faced criticism throughout the match. Following on X, supporter @UTD_Mace likened the new addition to a recent Madrid failure. "[Eden] Hazard 2.0 You first saw it here."
@TheHattrickuk, a football fan, called the Real Madrid player's performance "MBAPPE BIBLICAL STINKER."
Even more strongly, @ibrahimbht stated that Mbappe, the best bench, is irrelevant. What a shameful, clumsy performance—changes come far too late, and what a waste of two hours."
Another Madrid fan, @mxdric, expressed dissatisfaction with the team's lineup on social media, writing: "It seems like playing three left-wingers is a horrible idea, who would have guessed? (Everyone with even the tiniest football comprehension)"
Additionally, @UNIVERSO_1899 stated: "Mbappé, realising he's joined a league that's not for him.
THE LARGER IMAGE
Mbappe's arrival at Real Madrid has been much anticipated by supporters, who have watched the striker score goals for joy while playing for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1. Mbappe scored on his debut when Real Madrid defeated Atalanta in midweek to win the Super Cup, but he was left feeling disappointed at Son Moix and actually didn't have many opportunities to score against a team who placed 15th in La Liga the previous year. On a difficult night in Mallorca, Mbappe also failed to create any opportunities, lost two of his ground duels, and was dispossessed twice.
DID YOU KNOW?
After losing their opening match of the La Liga season for the first time in six seasons under Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid drew against Mallorca.
FUTURE ACTIONS FOR REAL MADRID
Mbappe will try to start his La Liga career on Sunday night at the Santiago Bernabeu when Real Madrid hosts Real Valladolid.
